Project "Pedal"
A fascination for the downhill mountain bike sport brought a group of students to an idea with which they soon stood out from the student life; a fascination that brought the students not only the experience in the design sector but also recognition and even revenue.
The aim of the project was to launch a product on the market, as there was no second one like that on this field. Through the redesign, the creative heads developed a new pedal with special requirements from the field of application:
- Large surface for a secure stand
- Low weight and high degree of self-cleaning
- Usage of standardized parts for easy spare parts procurement
With their idea and the prototype made of aluminium, the young inventors were able to profile themselves at Schindelhauer Bikes and by now they are working there.
